About

Wilson's solar power plant is engineered to operate 24/7 regardless of weather at costs competitive with coal. It's a pre-engineered modular system (as wind machines are), with all components factory-produced and quickly assembled at the site. Deployment will range from single units for remote villages without power to hundreds of units for central power generation. The plant's waste heat can be used for cooling, heating, industrial processes, water purification, etc. The product is based on MIT inventions and is being developed with Department of energy funding. The first pilot plant will be deployed in 2014 on a US military base.
