Villagize is both a marketing platform for companies and a destination site for consumers. The marketing platform - Villagize for Brands - enables companies to turn anonymous Facebook Likers into real-world leads. A company uses Villagize by adding a “village” (a social group for its Likers) to its Facebook page. Then Villagize enables the company to access the Liker’s identity and contact information (name, email, home address and telephone). This contact info can be used to contact Likers via email, direct mail, phone, etc. Villagize empowers companies to directly contact Likers outside of Facebook. The consumer site - www.villagize.com - enables users to discover and interact with like-minded people who live nearby. There are 2.5MM people profiled on the site and 240,000 villages for people to join. Users can engage with other local people based upon shared interests, e.g., sports, faith, politics, alumni, activities, etc. This consumer site helps power the marketing platform.
