Sequencing DNA is becoming cheaper and faster, and is fundamentally changing medical research and practice. As a consequence of increasing data volumes, now the ability to analyze and interpret the data is becoming the biggest bottleneck. Most biologists and physician-scientists don’t know programming so they need to hire analysts to write scripts to run repetitive tasks. Since the data size is growing so rapidly (3x of Moore's law) that the computing infrastructure is not able to scale. We are developing a cloud-based SaaS for analysis of DNA sequencing data. The software has an intuitive and easy to use web interface to allow scientists to upload her data, choose an appropriate workflow and run the analysis, all with just a few clicks. Our cloud backend manages the storage and computing resources automatically so on the one hand the users don’t need to worry about the infrastructure and on the other hand the software scales up easily for increasingly large data sets.
